THE COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENT CONDUCTED BY MASTER STUDY PROGRAM FOR AGROECOTECHNOLOGY FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE UDAYANA UNIVERSITY General
In commemoration of its 3rd anniversary, the Masters Program in
Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University held a Community
Service activity with the theme "KNOWING PLANT FACTORY CULTURE AND
OUTSTANDING CULTURAL TECHNOLOGY TO SUPPORT URBAN FARMING".. On August 8,
2022 an online service was held with two speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Ketut
Suada, MP with the presentation title "Plant Factory Cultivation",
while the second speaker, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Rai, M.S. delivered a
presentation on "Out-of-season Crop Production Technology in Urban Farming
Development". The activity was moderated by Dr. Gede Wijana, a lecturer at
the Faculty of Agriculture, Unud, who is also a hydroponic practitioner. On the
second day, on August 9, 2022, practical activities were held at the
Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unud, Jalan Pulau Moyo,
Denpasar.
In his remarks at the opening ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of
Agriculture represented by the Deputy Dean of General Affairs and Finance,
namely Prof.Ir. A A. A. Ani Ambarawati M.Ec, Ph.D. really appreciate this
activity to support the development of a sustainable agricultural sector. This
is in accordance with the vision of the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana
University as a center for the development of sustainable agricultural science
and technology. The event was attended by around 102 participants from internal
Unud (lecturers and students), as well as participants from outside Unud
consisting of agricultural practitioners, bureaucrats, lecturers and students
as well as the general public. Participants were very enthusiastic about
participating in the event with a very conducive interactive discussion. The
event closed with a prayer for the progress of the Master Program in
Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Unud
